After Ida
September has not begun well. As individuals, we were fortunate and escaped serious damage.
Days later, after the waters had receded —
in an area of less damage than many.
The same could not be said of our community, which will be months, if not years, recovering.
Raffi and I are lying low, for the time being. We probably could ride, but the likelihood of getting in the way is high, and much of the area is still difficult to navigate. So we’ll occupy ourselves in other ways, and see how it goes in this brave new climate.
